This delivery mode of training is most suited for those who have previously undertaken the same course, or a very similar course and are comfortable with online learning.
You will require suitable video conferencing equipment. This will include a reliable internet connection, computer or laptop with microphone, speakers, and camera functionality. It is important that you test your equipment prior to the scheduled online video conference session. Please note, if using an iPad or tablet it will need to have a suitable stand as you will not be able to hold it.
Completion of all online learning modules is required prior to the online video session. During the online conference session, you will be required to demonstrate practical tasks such as performing CPR on a manikin placed on the floor for 2-minutes. To ensure the trainer/assessor has a clear view of you completing these tasks, the camera needs to be positioned so it captures the floor space around you.
